Meet The Characters
Johnny

At the start of Candynomics, Johnny is 11 and a half years old. He’s a quiet kid, and he has two really good friends, Nick and Jason. He’s got a huge crush on Sarah, and really wants to show her just how he feels about her. He likes video games, especially ones that involve ninjas. He can also be quite inventive when he has to be.
Sarah
Sarah and her mom moved into town around the time of Johnny’s birthday. Sarah’s parents are going through a bad divorce, and she’s caught in the middle. She loves the progressive metal band Tulip Kick, and she gets Johnny to like them, too. She’s playful, a little aggressive, and she loves to show these traits to Johnny whenever she can. After all, she likes him, too.
Matt
Matt is a seventh grader who plays on the school’s soccer team. He’s also the foremost seller of gumballs at school. Matt runs a tight operation, and makes sure that he gets a cut of all of the gumball action. He’s sneaky and hostile, and you always need to watch your back around him. Always.
Jason
Jason is one of Johnny’s two good friends. He’s sensible and quiet, but that doesn’t stop him from having a good time with Johnny and Nick. He’s really into video games, and he especially likes games that involve ninjas. He lives on the other side of town, well outside of bicycle distances, so it’s a special treat when he and Johnny & Nick hang out outside of school.
Nick
Nick is Johnny’s other good friend, and the first friend Johnny made when he moved to town in his fifth grade year, Nick can be brash and bolder than Johnny & Jason, which can get him in trouble occasionally. Nick lives just down the street from Johnny…and right across the street from Sarah.
Ashley
Ashley likes Nick. She really likes him. Too bad her attempts to let Nick know her feelings are all completely anonymous.
The Principal
The Principal is a gumball salesperson’s worst nightmare. While she doesn’t have unlimited power to punish those she catches, what she can do is more than enough to stop your business. I mean, she can call your parents and tell them everything! And, she likes to wait to do it real early in the morning, too. That’s, like, the worst punishment of them all, ’cause then you’re worrying about it all day long.
Daniel
Daniel looooooooooooooooooves gumballs. He knows all the flavors. Yeah, that’s pretty much all there is to him. He’s a simple man. Er, boy.
